Danny Kannell is a tool

three of the five losses were to the SEC. Three of the five losses were in a blowout fashion. There is certainly some work to do by the conference as a whole but five and five is better than what a lot of people who get paid to make predictions seem to want

And two of the wins were by teams that didn't qualify for a bowl. The Big was putrid this year and showed with the championship participants getting completely destroyed

The top after the conference didn't look very good outside of Ohio State. But as far as not qualifying for a bowl 30 been enough six and six teams then it would've been the truth but those are the rules and it's nice that somebody place by them. Hopefully in future years we don't have to worry about her academic excellence to get to a bowl game we can worry about our 9,10,11 or 12 win seasons to be just enough to get into a game

I was off by one with Indiana the one who cost me my 6-4 prediction.

And yet those teams that "didn't qualify for a bowl" beat teams that did. We proved we belonged in a bowl based on the result. Whether we "deserved" to be there based on our record was rendered totally irrelevant by the result. It's not our fault enough 6-6 teams didn't make it and we won a spot based on the criteria the NCAA set up, and we took that and made something out of it and won fair and square and our win(and Minnesota's too) are just as relevant and important as those of any other team that won a bowl.

I would change that last statement to read "our win(and Minnesota's too) are just as relevant and important as those of any other team that won an irrelevant and unimportant bowl game" Not all bowl games and therefore bowl wins are equal. In fact a bowl loss in a major bowl is more relevant than a win in a mid to bottom tier bowl. Happy for the win but I would have rather earned the right to get blitzed in the Rose Bowl or the Cotton Bowl than win the Farm Fresh bowl.

Slightly OT: It's time for the Pac-12 to replace some of those games against the Mountain West with a game or two against the SEC. This is the fifth consecutive year the Pac-12 has avoided playing an SEC team in a bowl game. The last time the Pac-12 and SEC met in the postseason was the 2010 national title game between Oregon and Auburn.

If the Pac-12 argues that it's the second-best conference in the country based on bowl result, it's full of shite.

If Oregon beats TCU, the Pac-12 will be 7-2 in bowls, but only 3-2 against other Power 5 schools, the Cactus Bowl (ASU vs. West Virginia) pending. The Big Ten finished 4-5 against Power 5 schools (and Notre Dame), but 3-2 against Power 5 schools not in the SEC. Big Ten teams were 2-1 against the Pac-12, the only loss coming in the Rose Bowl, where the Pac-12 champion defeated the Big Ten runner-up, and likely the conference's fourth-best team.
