I made some calls into some contacts in Lincoln this morning to hopefully find out what is going on with our OC situation. I'm hearing Dana will sign a contract (I'm hearing 2 years) to be the OC at Nebraska as early as next week. Modest salary for Dana (not in it for the money obviously and being paid a bag by Houston currently) I heard a few more details that I won't share because of the sensitivity of it, but all positive things for the Husker program and the fanbase. Unfortunate for a few individuals/families.
Rhule is the man for the job. Rhule knows retaining key players is key and Dana is the spark and lynch pin for that - the same way retaining Tony White helped key players come back for another year in 2024.
I didn't get any of my info from any other message board nor do I know if anything has even been discussed elsewhere (I belong to 3-5 different boards but only log in and view this one based on 20+ years of familiarity). I made 4 calls into Lincoln this morning to people that are in meetings, donate money, etc. and cross checked what I was hearing with multiple key sources.
Take it for what it's worth, but figured we all could use some positive Thanksgiving Day talking points over dinner going into the Iowa game.
