The thread about the newest swimtown lake mentioned the idea of putting in a big lake between Omaha and Lincoln. Sure it would flood Ashland but the economic output could relocate all those locals to lakefront property on the lake with no problem.
Is this ever realistically going to happen and I see very little reason why it shouldn’t. Is there any background/hope on this ever happening?
Would be a boon for the region and many more positives than negatives in my mind.
