Today's trivia item was actually on the calendar for next Monday (June 3), but I'm bumping it up in honor of today's news that he has been called up to The Show. Purposely left this one a little open-ended:

“What did former Nebraska baseball standout Spencer Schwellenbach become the first player in program history to do in 2021?”

=================================

Answer we were looking for:

• Schwellenbach became the first – and to date only – Nebraska baseball player to win the Big Ten Player of the Year award in 2021.

Also correct, as @HuskerLouie pointed out:

• Schwellenbach won the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award in 2021. The award has been around since 2010. He’s the first – and to date only – Big Ten player to win the award.
