McLaughlin mentioned the Beavers' trip to the CWS last season and how Oregon State played CS-Fullerton then LSU three times. I know it'll never happen because the current setup is great for TV, but it would be cool if they went back to the old two-stage, single-group format used until 1988 to get more variety on the matchups...
