I made a list after the Iowa game from Huskers.com. I took out a lot of walk-ons and others I thought wouldn't survive. I then removed the guys showing up in this thread. Of course, I added the guys from the 2025 signing class. I'm at 105 but I'm sure it will change.

My suspicion is that Tony wants at least a few guys who know the defense he's going to have to teach to a whole new set of players. According to Jay Moore, edge guys are probably the ones who will have the toughest time adjusting.
Or any other position of need we are short on.this is a huge hire going forward.it almost seems like seeing some Cortez Mills tweets this was in the works before signing day.
Fk Pot roast. He wouldn’t have a job at this level if not for Matt Rhule.
I count only about 15 guys who are going to be seniors and a few of them look like potential cuts to me. Super young roster. I can find 10-11 guys who will probably be processed and Rhule said they want to take 14-15 transfers.
His love affair with Evan Cooper was odd but TW needs him to help teach his D to the D line. Really surprised he ditched Rhule like that but Rhule might not be all that disappointed. Mr Roast wasn't exactly killing it in recruiting.

Good catch. I think I removed him thinking the potential "family" issues were more than they were.
At least he showed up on the 3 deep at times. We were scrambling for OTs and had basically unlimited openings for OTs when we took him. He was a highly ranked guy from a top program that we weren’t in a position to ignore. No way to know he was a bust.
This one surprised me a little.a They're hitting the portal for WRs and he may not see a path to playing time.
It just shows these local guys are too scared to compete and know they aren’t very good.
His buddy he convinced to join him at NU was processed earlier. He probably doesn’t see a path to playing time. We just about had to give both of those guys a shot.

SIAP. So had a thought. We all know that the actual hard deadline for 105 isn’t until Aug. For the walkons who are deep on the depth chart and really have no interest in playing anywhere else, I could see a conversation happening with them that will allow them to be part of the program the next 7 months and rewarding these players continued access to the training table, etc. That way HCMR can still field an expanded scout team for spring practices. When 2nd semester ends, roster reductions are then processed and these guys go about their lives. No surprises either side.
I think that will happen. A roster with 105 will be released and a bunch of walk-ons who never entered the portal, will just be gone, finishing school as students.
Have tweaked my post a little bit.
I have them in the order in which they enter the portal.
I also have used an > to indicate who entered and then withdrew.
I'm keeping track of total portal entrants and how many are offense or defense.
Once NU signs a few more kids brought in through the portal, I'll add them to the bottom of the page, at this point I'll just add the '24 new players.
