Both Coach Riley and Coach Langsdorf talked about how the team appeared to come out tight to start the game. Coach Riley said they had looked great all week but at the start of the game he sensed some nervousness and the team coming out tight.
It seems to me we've been this way for a long time. It seems to me that with few exceptions we've been a pretty slow starting team going back to the Taylor Martinez days. Then when Tommy first took over, I noticed we finally started not going 3-and-out our first series of the game. But as time went on we again seem to have settled into that pattern.
Anybody have thoughts on why this is? Or if you even agree? Do you think it perhaps changes after this big win? If not, what do you think needs to change? How do we get off to faster starts?
