Colorado now ranked

I was watching the TTech OL. They are not good. CU was able to eat them alive. That would not happen in the BIg 10 against the quality of the OLs we have. Sorry, but there are two conferences that are just in another echelon and we are in one of them.
This is a popular myth.

B1G and Big 12 are basically the same, as evidenced by the .500 head to head record over the years.

If Colorado's defensive coordinator isn't already a rising star, he soon will be. He's taken an absolute sieve and turned it into a pretty solid unit.

Yesterday Tech was eating the Buffs' lunch with crossing patterns underneath the deep coverage. Last year that would have gone on all day long, but he made adjustments.

Big 12 is basically a G5 conference.

That said I think Colorado would kill us in a rematch

Yeah well you might be right but I wish we were in that G5. I think we’d be having a lot more fun. Also might wish we’d have hired Deion. But the jury is still out on that one

After we dismantled them, CU’s next game was at home against a poor Baylor team. Baylor had them beat. But Sanders connected on a Hail Mary with no time left. If they lose that game, they may have crumbled like last year. But they didn’t.
Had a similar feel to Colorado's game against Stanford last season. Colorado was up by 29 points at half and lost the game. Colorado crumbled after that game. I was hoping that they would crumble after crawling out of Lincoln with a 28-10 loss.

Don't thing Deion's style would translate into success in the B1G. The B1G is too much of a grind.

12 years as the secondary coach for the Bengals. He was retained when Zac Taylor got the job.

Over the years? The B1G today is not the same as the one last year (has improved), and the B12 of today is also not the same as last year (regressed by a lot). The B12 is a collection of mid to low tier teams from the form B12 and Pac12 conferences. The line play is nowhere near equal, nor the physicality. A big 12 team could beat a B1G or SEC team in a one game scenario (preseason or postseason).. but to string multiple games together in a season... no chance. With no headliners in the conference, I'd imagine this year will be their best year... While they will continue to sink further into irrelevancy as time goes on. It'll become proving grounds, a stepping stone for players and coaches to step up to the B1G and SEC.

Also, of course I do not like Iowa, nor should anyone, and we should always be hopeful that the cyclones beat Iowa. However, the one reason why the Iowa Sate game seems to always be close is because firstly it is rivalry game and secondly its early in the season when Iowa is at their worst.

I'm sure that's part of it. But it does really look like we swapped progression vs regression as well.
I still say we are who we’ve been. The competition has gotten tougher and Dylan isn’t healthy.

According to this, we have #52 strength of schedule so far this year. sCUm is #41

We’ve played some patsies who we beat that drag down our strength of schedule. UNI alone probably costs us 10 spots. They’re an awful FCS team. CU wouldn’t have beaten Illinois when we played them and would have lost to all of the teams we lost to IMO.

Purdue is the worst team in all of FBS and would definitely get beat by a dozen or so FCS programs
