Colorado athletics $9.9 million deficit for 2023

To be clear is this the data, like NU, final year June 2023?

If so, that would be midway through Sanders year 1
"Lower than expected distribution from the Pac-12 Conference and the cost of a coaching change in football contributed to the University of Colorado athletics department recording a deficit of nearly $9.9 million for the 2023 fiscal year."

Ew… poor people are so gross.

$8.7 million of that was stolen gold chains from their locker room when they played UCLA.

Their insurance company will be sending a check any day now. They'll be fine.

So much interest in the workings of the Colorado athletic department books.

When do get to brag about things that matter?

The university of Colorado is nothing more than a platform for Sanders. No different than tik tok or instagram. If any Florida school or a P5 school in the south came calling, Sanders would be gone faster than he can say “we coming.”

the main thing about mr. neon deon is not turning the ball over 4 times, and throwing the defense under the bus..this should be the main take away...

Was listening to The Drive, one of the major sports talk show stations in Denver last week. Two hosts were predicting CU would go 10-2, and thought it wasn't out of the question they could make the 12 team playoff next season. Apparently they are drinking some of the same kool aid us Husker fans have in recent years, but have added some more sugar to the pitcher.

This. I'll laugh at them if we beat them. But we have to beat them first.

Who cares?
I get why we shouldn't care, but we are 0-3 against them the past 6 years, and they haven't had a winning season in any of those years. They are also on our schedule for this year, plus some of us die hard Husker fans live in CO. So its easy to care about anything anti-CU.

that number can’t be correct. The merch that Tetonia bought had to total in the seven figures. Also, are they counting the hundreds of dollars from the sunglasses sales?
Perhaps so but that isn’t 100% profit for CU. Would be nice to know how much they did earn on those merchandise sales.

Those same people were making fun of Vegas predicting 3.5 wins last year, while they were predicting 7-8 wins. Entertainment radio.

Sugar? More like fentanyl.
