Colorado and Stanford to OT

Back in Big 8/12 days one of the first CU message boards was NetBuffs, so I had to stop by last night to view the carnage. At least one guy has it right:

”…
And now the tougher stuff. How many camera crews you going to let follow these players around? You've got a placekicker in a green jersey standing around every practice acting as if he has it whooped and he can't get the ball to the end zone from the 50. When does the showboating and the "it's about me" bullbleep come to an end?

Until it does, you'll have a bullseye on your back. So will your players. Remember Prime, they're not you -- they're them and they don't have your skill or your flair or your want to. You telling them they should is not the answer.

Pissed.”

Nicely stated, huh? Life is good every day but especially today😀

i woke this morning to find that score and could not believe it. lose after leading 29-0 at halftime? and i thought houston's win over wvu was something special. wowzer! to a stationary tree no less.

CU reminds me of the tortoise and the hare story. They are all flash and cocky like the hare. A game is 60 minutes and they goofed off the last 30 minutes. A season is 12 games and they have goofed around the last 4 games.
A related factor is the average SAT scores of the players. Hopefully we remember that in our game vs Northwestern.😀

Oh well. They are getting worse, while we're getting better.
Which is weird, because I have it on great authority @Tetonia that CU just has so many dogs. I mean, Neon, "he has ‘dogs’ and ‘leaders’, D’s and L’s on their jerseys. Yeah that’s who he’s recruiting. F’ing Dogs."

With so many F'ing Dogs, not to mention leaders, I just can't understand the complete meltdown last night.

Huh? NU’s beating the teams they are supposed to, including one they weren’t supposed to, which was the only BIG they’ve played. CU isn’t, and playing inferior opponents close. You missed a golden opportunity there to celebrate HH and dump on Sims again. Get your act together.
Playing a get right game against crap opponents every week no doubt helps the trend, which I agree is headed in the right direction

Sims dumped all over himself in weeks 1&2. Haarberg would never. I like the idea of a bowl game rematch with our new, infinitely more capable offense.

We have scored less than Iowa. There are plenty of ways to describe that offense and capable is way down the list. If HH is still the qb same time next year then our coaches have failed the program bigly.

They don't have any dogs upfront. They do have that Rolex flex though.

You must be HH‘s agent. Somehow you managed to lobby for him in this thread about the Stanford-CU game. Hopefully he is paying you well.😆

Not on avg if you take away the two sims games

I don’t give a shit about CU

It absolutely blows that we found a way to lose to them. Worst team we will play all year, maybe with the exception of northwestern

You must be watching a different team.

Well after years of sCUm fans laughing at a gif of a CHILD crying I think its really swell we finally have one of our own to ROFL at.
I mean, just look at it. A grown ass man literally crying over an inconsequential F'n football game.
Do you think he's crying because his team just blew a huge lead took a huge squirty dump in their pants or because it makes them look bad and he's worried about them being targeted and how unsafe they'll be from, you know, "those people"?

Yeah, it's funny.

All you need against Colorado is a decent defense and 1 player like Trey Palmer to stretch the field.

I think that Colorado State player completely broke Travis Hunted

Actually you don't really want to try to stretch the field against Colorado. Just throw underneath crossing routes, which the Buffs give up like Halloween candy at 9-10 yards per pop. Then throw in a bunch of missed tackles, and you're on your way.

Stanford tried to throw over the top a lot in the first half, with no success. Not sure why they waited so long to pick the low-hanging fruit.

since HH took charge, we're 50% better in total yardage and 150% better in points/game

sorry these facts interfere with your feelings towards me and/or your inability to recognize what you're watching

Yeah I think you're right.

In final overtime, watching Stanford QB run straight up the gut for easy yards made me think HH would absolutely gash that defense

Figuring out HH was the far superior QB is really the only thing I'm upset at the staff for

Yeah, although CU's defense was just trying to strip the ball at that point because that was their only real chance of extending the game. Sanders put the defense in an impossible spot by heaving up that horrible INT.

If I didn't know better, I would think the Stanford coach waited until the second half to switch to the shorter passing game so the Buffs could not adjust at halftime. Can't imagine he planned it that way, spotting the other team a 29-point lead. But that's how it worked out.

That same placekicker was posing for pictures with a huge smile on his face after the game with a Stanford player. The Stanford player could have been an old friend or former teammate, but I think it is bad optics to look so happy while still on the field after your team collapsed. Do that stuff in private.

Not the same as infinitely more capable. The fact is you suck at math.

Colorado will likely lose all of their remaining games. However, the Deion Sanders homers will see their 5-7 record as a sign Deion is making progress and will continue to tout him as some kind of savior.

It would actually be 4-8, if they drop them all. But it would still somehow be the most amazing 4-8 ever.

Classic example of how it's harder to win as a passing team. This is why I prefer to be a running team. Not for nostalgia, but because it leads to more wins.

They would spin it as 4x the wins as the previous season, and ignore the fact that these guys completely collapsed the first time someone punched them in the mouth.

Watching the QB, it looks like he isn't built for a season of being chased by D1 defenders. He seems to have gotten progressively worse under pressure
