Collin Miller commits

I had a hunch we would be hearing some more news after their 48 hour visits.

Obviously Simmons is going to still visit Clemson yet next week.

Someone else said this yesterday in the Purnell Jefferson post. But just like PJ, Miller reminds me of Phillip Dillard too. Great catch, let's keep the net ready!

Far too many guys get too wrapped up in the daily tweets and recruiting rumblings. Just wait for the dust to settle and then make your conclusions
based on results instead of drama.
Yeah, I've never understood how a class can be deemed 'good', 'great' or 'disappointing/bust' without having played college football yet. Too hypothetical unless it is a class full of statistical outliers.

exactly.

Listed as a LB but aricle says DE is he a tweener that may play olb then put his hand down on passing situations?

Four linebackers, all of whom will play in the 6'2", 230+ range. This is what Bo Peep should have done the minute he found out Nebraska was moving to the Big Ten. He tried to play his Cover-2 spread defense in a power rushing conference. At least Mike Riley seems to have realized it and is trying address the problem.

I found this quote from Mr. Miller intriguing, "Then there are some future guys who will hopefully come here like they say they will, they’re saying Nebraska is the spot to be.”

As far as I know, there were only two 2017 kids in town and I think we all know who they were.

Fire Bob Stoops. OU is only 3 spots ahead of lowly Mike Riley in the Rival's team ranking.

OU has 16 recruits... 7 are four* and 3 are two* (LB, LB, & OL.. two of which only have one other Power5 offer)
NU has 18 recruits... 3 are four* and only 1 is a two* (Kicker)

I wonder why Stoops would recruit two* players...especially when most other P5 schools aren't offering them...

OU has averaged the #14 ranked recruiting class and averaged 23 recruits per class the last 5 years.

Don't these kids know that Oklahoma just made the playoffs!!!

Someone should tell Bobby to use the playoffs to his advantage when recruiting!!!

Keshawn Johnson Jr and Holmes would have to be what hes talking about. KJJ is the apparent one that would should have all but locked up but Holmes is a wish list one, hopefully we got him leaning now.

Now Butlers comments could be about the same guys but he could also be referring to his good budy FitzPatrick, my guess is both if these guys where are 2 silent commits.

Collin Miller and Pernell Jefferson are similar prospects in my eyes. It will be interesting to see what position these guys play. I get the impression that they both could be linebackers, which would be a shift from what we typically recruit for the position as both guys are kinda run stuffer types and not necessarily cover types. However, I think Miller has the ability to possibly play on the defensive line. He takes on blockers a little bit better than Jefferson and seems to have a little bit better of a burst, which would help him get to the QB. I'm looking forward to seeing both guys develop.

Welcome and GBR!! Keep it rolling

You'd take OUs 4 stars over our 4 stars? Call me a homer but id take O'Brien over Kendall, O'Brien is a bigger QB and an early enrolly which we need more of. Now Raridon id take over any of there following 4 stars because we need Olineman in a big way...that leaves Dismuke compared to the other guys they have...it looks as if there 4 star DBs are corners which we need and Dismuke is a safety, depends which we need more of i guess. If we do pull in Lamar Jackson as it appears to be headed, id take Lamar over any of there 4 star guys, hes the number 1 safety in the country and sounds like an elite CB as well. If FitzPatrick commits to, well id rather have him over there 4 star RB since we have Tre Byant.

So its more of the eye of the beholder then anything. Since our guys are Huskers and want to play for us, id take them over OUs guys just for that alone.

FWIW, OU is the favorite to land 5-star LB Caleb Kelly, and they have a visit next weekend from 4-star LB Mark Jackson

Ok ill give it there, if they LAND Kelly, id take him over any of our guys including Lamar Jackson (note O'Brien doesnt count because we need him more then anyone else, including 5 star Kelly). Man i wish we could land Kelly or that other 5 star LB that THOUGHT about visiting us but didn't even do that much (heaven forbid he gave us a real look as in a visit, he might have just came away in love being he had a true shot at starting as a true freshman with us).

Where's all the "realists" ITT?

I am still here and SMH.

I always believed MR would fill up the class. We knew back in August recruiting would play out this way. The kool-aid drinkings would cheer over some late plan C commit and act like the staff is killing it and the "realists" would be astonished that you all act like we just got a verbal from Rashan Gary to commit. So Fisher IN is like a pretty easy drive from South Bend, why didn't ND offer? Why didn't any of the major B1G schools offer (Michigan, tOSU, MSU, Penn State, etc) ? Why'd we just offer last week?

And I am happy Collin is a husker. I am happy for all the kids that commit. Hell, their huskers now. Greatest team in any sport to play for. But If I were a kool-aid drinker, he's not the kind of football player I'd be trying to throw his commit in the faces of the so called "realists". It's embarrassing. Its exactly the type of player us realists expect Riley to land. Come talk to us when he's landing Terrell Hall. Otherwise know that the facts still prove he's a sub top 25 coach in recruiting and on the field. Same kind of kids we were landing with Bo really. And so, I am still waiting for this Big Boom ending. All I keep seeing is more of the same. Yay, cowbell, 3-star with an average offer list. Yay. NEXT.

He's not a plan C, more like a plan B, and someone we've kept warm for a long time unlike a true plan C prospect. He's from the same HS as Randy Gregory, you remember - he didn't have an offer from Notre Dame or any B1G school you mentioned either.

So you "realist" don't expect a commitment from Lamar Jackson and/or Dez Fitzpatrick. Noted.
