- Retired the game's first 13 batters and finished with 12 strikeouts over eight innings
- Improved to 3-0 on the season and has not surrendered a run in 23.0 innings
- Records his second career Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honor and second in as many weeks

- Led the Huskers to a 2-1 win over No. 3 Texas Tech last Friday, the team’s first victory over a top-five opponent since Feb. 21, 2014
- Produced an RBI single in the seventh inning that proved to be the eventual game-winner
- Preserved his own win, earning the save by pitching the final inning and retiring the final three batters in order with a pair of strikeouts
- Wins his first Big Ten Freshman of the Week award
