White also recognized who his best MLB were and didn’t try to replace them with transfers. They moved CT and Torres was maybe the best one on the team.

Torres might be difficult to judge but I’m telling you the kids legit at UIW. He’s out playing Calzada who was the former A&M QB who beat Bama

I know what poster you're talking about and he has a history of embellishing things, and his criteria for a 10% success rate was lacking in the reasoning department. If you compared these transfer players to what we have at the qb position now on our roster as a measure of success, you'd have closer to an 80% success rate.

Shoot, I coached lame ass HS ball and we did that shit. Talking to parents "Oh yeah, us coaches really messed up today and these boys really played their hearts out"

Then in the locker room it was "You think ANY girl is going to a dance with you when you play like that? My god, come on man, make a freaking tackle"

Rhule said from the beginning that he wanted a Qb run threat. Torrez was not that. Torrez wanted to play and it didn’t look like he would so he left.

With even just an okay qb, we have a much better record this year and I'd probably have a much more favorable outlook on Rhule. It was a massive failure to not have something at the most important position on the field.

Agree. Hindsight says Sims clearly wasn’t the answer and IMO CT’s late defection really screwed us over. If he announces in December he’s leaving it would have changed dramatically how our QB situation was viewed IMO. Water under the bridge. Need to try to find QB in the portal this go round.

BTW: until he proves otherwise this year, I still think Purdy might be a guy who could be that okay QB.

The coaches and Rhule should take the blame. When offense sucks you take the points. Should have kicked field goal twice

We had a guy here at work who was in charge of a department. When anything went wrong due to his own neglect he would say he takes full responsibility. That seemed to quell any trouble that was coming his way, he came off at valiant.
In fact, he didn't really take responsibility for anything, he just said he did, it had no real meaning. He didn't compensate the company for undue labor or material. It was just a ruse. I will say its a good move.

Yes, I remember Aaron Taylor, All American center saying T.O. came to him on the bench in his early Husker career & said "we put you in there to do a job, now do it"! I guess it matters who said it! Taylor didn't forget!😊😊
