Looks like Colorado ended up with the #1 ranked portal transfer class? Prime might be a Grade A weirdo but no arguing he's improved their talent level...I have my doubts he can keep it up but mad props where it's due here...and the article I read said it's the #23 class overall....
Prime said yesterday on the McAfee Show that they're taking a 40/40/20 approach to quickly rebuilding the CU roster

Interesting that they think USF and Cincinnati are "bigger offers" than Colorado.
So I took the time to watch the last 6 minutes where you paused it and I have to ask what you got out of that? I was "open-minded enough to listen" and this is what I heard:
"Coach Prime" describes himself as "old school", and goes to bed by 7:00. He doesn't drink or smoke, but it's cool that Snoop Dogg does, they are still friends because Snoop respects him so much.
He wants a team full of transfers (80% of recruits?) because coaches get fired waiting to develop players.
He builds a team outside in because he was a CB, but also up the middle because he played baseball????
He wants OL to come from families and DL to come from the ghetto or drive trucks with dead deer hanging on them. Some weird stereotypes, but whatever.
Pat McAfee seemed very impressed, so there is that. I must have missed something.

I don't think there's any question cincy is a bigger offer considering it's a P5 job in 2 years & they have a pretty stable history of recent success
USF, I agree. bigger market, perhaps, but that's about it
Florida St has the #1 portal class according to 247 sports 9 commits and seven 4*.
Ralphie has 21 commits though, Travis Hunter the 5* and three 4* and nine 3*.
I think most hate Deion for who they think he is instead of who he really is
he's always seemed to me like a genuine person who's been through a ton to get where he's gotten
I'm glad Rhule is our coach, but I wish Prime was somewhere other than CU so I could root for him

I don't mind him. But the video of him mocking Florida State for trying but failing to get Travis Hunter while he was in the portal showed a very childish and questionable side of him.
he's been very publicly pissed at FSU for a long time (we can certainly relate to that)

You make a good point… I was happy. He was successful at Jackson State. I didn’t have anything against him. Now that he’s the Colorado coach, I’ve got something against him.
So when does he adjust to taking more HS rather than players that aren't making it at their current schools?
I get the approach of using the transfer portal when trying to quickly build depth, but this approach feels similar to the Snyder JC route at Kansas St. he was always chasing his 9 to 10 wins but had a few 6 or 7 wins because he missed on some JUCOs and had nothing behind it.

Back to the topic at hand... Prime did struggle on signing day, but he has got some intriguing portal guys. Not sure how all of this is going to shake out, just more an observation. Still a lot of time but I don't think he's been as bad as we thought it was going to be, but also not the top level that some thought it might be either... Going to be an interesting year next year. Lot's of unknowns on our schedule.

I read a post about about 24-17 and totally forgot that was the score of your Super Bowl this year. It seemed like way more of a blowout than 24-17, weren't you dorks shutout at the half?
So on your end, as an Iowa fan, what does a game like that feel like? You wait all season to get a win against a team that you are envious of and you once again, get shut out.
