it felt too much like that BYU game. Very uncomfy at the end, hoping this one doesn't end the same way.
We're better than Southern Utah. We'll hold Oregon to 70!
Tonight was a debacle, a game vs a real team will be an absolute slaughter. Nebraska football sucks right now.
It hurts to say.... yes. But, we are at another reboot year. Like it or not.
YAY! Another reboot, this time with a 64 year old coach in his 3rd season here and who has a barely over .500 record over his 20 year career as HC. That's some cutting edge excitement other top programs around the country can't replicate! Color me stoked!
I like Riley but this truly sums it up. 8-5 with sell outs and good interviews etc. , that will be a good year going forward.

Yup. And it starts up front on D. Do we even HAVE a d-line coach? His guys could have done just as much last night if they were blocking dummies.
But.I guess he will continue to get the "but he played here" free pass.
I actually thought our d line looked pretty good considering we were only bringing three most of the time. Davis looks real good and freedom got some good pressure too. Stolt seemed up and down. There was one play he got doubled but held his ground...MLB missed the tackle and an eight yard gain happened.
Freedom batted down the ball that was picked in the red zone, something people said needed to be coached more....
I dont think they are world beaters but our D line looked improved considering 3 on 5 all night.
Well, Oregon State will probably fire their coach after this season. Maybe Mike will go back there for a 3rd time?
The D-line's job in the 3-4 is to take up blocks. The linebackers better be animals. I don't think we have the talent for the 3-4 to be great this year. Arkansas State had 82 yards rushing last night. The D line did fine on that aspect. One other reason you weren't going to pressure their qb much was due to the quick passing game. The secondary needed to make adjustments on what they were doing. A match up zone works best against a defense like this. We better see some improvement or Oregon will hang 50 plus up on this defense.

I wonder why our 3 man front couldnt get any pressure, Mmmm maybe, because the QB was getting rid of the ball in 1 second on quit hitting pass plays. Not sure how you were unable to see that if you actually watched the game. I mean it was pretty obvious.

Excuses. Those are not supposed to be used this year. Their tackling was also piss poor.
Where have you been onechase? I admit I haven't seen you on this board at all, until yesterday, during and after the game. And every post is a pot stirring kind of post.
Why haven't I seen you before yesterday? Why weren't you posting leading up to the game? Is this agenda driven?
The Arky State game plan was to go to our defenses weaknesses, which was on the outside, fake the run, freezing LBs inside, yards after catch, they knew our LBs were not speed burners, take a chance down field every once in awhile. They exploited the outside due to the 5-7 yard cushions or greater!
