So last Wednesday evening. After a major fire on my property a couple weeks back. I was cleaning up old trees to make room for new structure, and landscaping. So I'm using a Komatsu 200 excavator pushing trees over while another man dozes them into a pile too burnend. So I'm pushing a huge Hackberry over that is rite on my power line. So I stop the excavator to get out and survey, before I really get after it. I'm fairly cautious to not get under the arm/bucket of any equipment, especially this machine! So I'm standing by this tree looking at the power line , and my excavator arm that is under the power line. I no more and look away, and am just blasted to the ground! I'm thinking the tree was coming apart, and falling on me! So my wife is videoing with her phone, and she is running at me yelling to get down! I'm up by now running, and trying to get her away from the tree! We end up in front of our house, and I'm bleeding profusely from a huge gash on the top if my head, and I'm thinking my neck is broke! I've had three prior cervical fusion, and prosthetic disc installed. So off to ER! Well my wife is telling me in the way that the excavator bucket hit me, when the tree fell! Yes 6-8 tons of steel hit me, and I walked away! Only a gash that required 16 staples! No broken bones. No concussion! Nothing major! Noe I'm a man who believes in God, and have accepted Jesus as my Savior, but I'm not a "practicing" Christian. Those few who have seen the video have been left speechless. My dad only said he saw his son cheat death. He cannot believe I'm still here! Those who have had a close call with death how did/do you deal with it? I'm really struggling with what's the messege? What am I doing or not doing? Thank RSS!
