Clemson v Nebraska Orange Bowl (1981 season)

please help me

if we beat an undefeated Clemson in the 1982 (1981 season) Orange Bowl are we national champions?
Texas finished 10-1-1 .. we would have been 10-2 (but we entered the bowls ranked ahead of Texas)

we lost to Iowa and Penn St earlier (started the season 1-2)

our first 4 games of 1981 were -- Iowa, Florida St, Penn State, Auburn 🙀

I was at that game and their HC Danny Ford was a worthless POS and that was one of the dirtiest teams I've ever seen. Between their cheap shots and their OL grabbing our DL's facemasks at the LOS and yanking them to the ground and not being called for it at all as well as us being called for everything including things that weren't even there. We got fk'd out of 2 Natty's in a row. Clemson and Penn St.
