Ok. So I am not a betting person so please explain. I get the 1/2 but why wouldn't they all be that. What's the point of having a whole number?

6 1/2 protects against 6 wins.. NW at 4. What does that do vs the 1/2?

Thanks

In my opinion, the 1/2 just makes it cleaner and a guarantee winner or loser, eliminating the tie and allows the sports book to collect the vig on every bet.

So putting Purdue at 2.5 OR 3.5 will change a lot of bets.
If people start hammering Purdue over 3...it will bump up.

Exactly. I just assumed Vegas always used 1/2 to protect themselves. At 4 1/2 you have the option of 5 or 4. If Vegas takes 4 now you've gotta do 3 or 5 or can you take the halves

Vegas tries to get equal amounts on each side.. Neb at 7 1/2 half at 7 wins and the other at 8... They should then be able to make 5% of the total bets... can't lose if to many bet on the over then the move it to 8 1/2... the betters ultimately decide the line based on the amount of $ bet on a team.. Vegas doesn't gamble...

Not true at all, especially so in the futures market

Nebraska has only 2 games on its schedule against teams with a higher O/U win total…..man this season is there for the taking.

Lots of super low numbers for such a juggernaut conference

He’s dug in at this point … has to hold his ground no matter how retarded the point.

The SEC is playing 8 conference games instead of 9. Have to increase all B1G win totals by one to compare to SEC win totals, at least for the top 9-10 B1G teams.

The SEC...
It just means more

Purdue is 3-3 vs the SEC since Brohm showed up, with one loss not having a coaching staff and 1 loss having a game winning TD taken off the board. Whats that say about the SEC? Lol

Not interested in looking into the other teams.
You and the K St fan should introduce yourselves to each other, then exchange phone numbers and take you pointless discussions there.

Purdue sucks. It is simple. If Purdue cancelled it's football program tomorrow, no one outside of perhaps you, and some of the students in W, Lafayette, would even notice.

I saw that Illinois sold out their FB tickets for the first time in like 20+ years...AND they are offering students 4 years of season tickets for 250 dollars.

It is shocking to me that so many of these Big Ten schools can't sell out their games or get their students to the games.

The Big Ten basically has a few fan bases that actually care...Nebraska, OSU, Michigan, PSU, Oregon.

Good lord Indiana had a once-in-a-lifetime season last year and it still took 10 weeks for them to get a sell out crowd.

I really like Illinois going over the 7.5 total.
Toughest games are @ Indiana and home against USC and Ohio St.

That Duke game could make/break their season.
A loss at Duke probably turns Illinois into a 6 win team.

I didn't say purdue was good. Was taking shots at the SEC, but I'd guess the full stadium on a 1-11 season would notice the team was gone, especially since they seemingly got a good coach.

Love that your take away from that was Purdue and not the SEC being overrated. Lol what is Nebraska vs purdue on the past 10 games? Lol
