Looks like it could be an interesting game. Preparing for the inevitable board meltdown if Miami gets taken to the woodshed.

Miami defense is horrible. Concerns me we struggled to score and move the ball against them for 3 quarters. The Cincy defense is on par with Nebraska's.

canes take the lead in 3 plays, even though cant stand the U, like to see them win. Anything to help our D confidence.

Wish they had that slow start against us. Damned shanked punts and short offensive possessions killed us to start that game.
They actually have more points at half than they had vs. The Huskers. But Cincy gets the jolt of playing at home, under the lights.

Miami played the first half without 2 of their starters in the secondary. I'm guessing now that they are available in the second half Miami will look a lot stronger on D.

cinci has given up 120 points against 3 non power 5 teams. they have held Miami to 23 in 3 and half quarters

Why the heck wouldn't Miami kick the FG in that situation and get within 1 score? Instead, fail on 4th down and turn it over.

Al Golden is a terrible football coach. He is much worse coach than Bo Pelini ever was. A competent coach wins that game by 3 touchdowns.

I kept scratching my head at their offensive play calling. Yikes. One thing that was evident is that Cinci seems to have some really good athletes in their D line and linebacking corp. The big special teams play and fast start by Cinci seemed to not let Miami ever get any momentum. They did not look good playing from behind the whole game. Of course having their safeties suspended for the first half didn't help them at all either. Cinci was laying the wood the whole game on D.

Not just any team can go into Historic Nippert Stadium, face the Bearcats, and come out with a win.

Unless you're Temple.

yea but the safties being suspeneded didnt have anything to do with an offense that scored just 23 against a cinci defense that in its last 3 games had given up 120 points. none of those teams were a power 5 team.

The only conclusion I can make...Nebraska is not very good. We made Miami look great for 3 quarters - then Golden's magic touch caught up to the Hurricanes (and we got the big Mo)....and Miami's D can't stop the pass. I always like to see Miami loose.... so nice job Bearcats.

Young, hurt & learning would be more accurate.
