Had heard about this earlier this morning, but didn't want to say anything until it was confirmed. Hoped it was just a rumor, but unfortunately it is not.

Another college wrestler, Max Hughes, also died in the accident. He was from Syracuse, NE and was currently wrestling at IWCC in Council Bluffs. Such a horrible outcome for two young men. I feel terrible for their families and communities. So sad.

A very nice funeral Mass was held for Christian this morning, and I believe burial will be held at a later date.
