Chase Williams, 4 star CB... N!!

Yes, and Williams squared knocked it out if the park with him (plus peer recruiting from Bookie and Allen).

The Williams Bros are closers. Especially Donté at the moment. The players more or less commit to a position coach because they'll be seeing them the majority of their day (on field, film room, huddles on sideline, etc). DW was a key reason why Bookie committed. Totally worked Mario Goodrich and Chase Williams. Bryan Addison and Houston Griffith are also on his radar. Dude is completely earning his check so far.

Agree about the Williamses, but if bookie committed to Riley a year ago already, as has been reported, that was long before DW was on staff...

He is gonna bring in more than his fair share of top recruits... but it sounds like Bookie was coming no matter what.

Interesting. Love to hear that no matter what. Bookie is a little tasmanian devil on the field and appears a really nice kid off. Fits Riley's mold for sure. I thought I read somewhere recently that when DW was at Arizona, Bookie said he's always been really close with him and had wanted to play for him. Definitely helped the process by Riley ousting Banker and Stewart leaving for Rice. I must have been high on the Big Red Kool Aid during last weekend's recruiting blast.

I live 1000 miles from my brother and every time I talk I ask him "you want the kool aid talk"? He lol and says sure "lay it on me".

Well one things for sure both Williams are doing a great job getting the elite talent at there positions and id even throw Langs in there as well. They seem recruit well and get majority of the guys they really want. With KW and DW we have a chance to get any player and it goes up even better if we get them here for visits.

Totally agree. Williams and Williams are fantastic recruiters, and I'd include Trent Bray in that too. To a lesser extent, Parella has really gotten the kind of linemen he wants thus far, and this is only his second year, isn't it? If Parella can land Calvin Avery, then I'm completely sold on him as a recruiter as well.

Honestly, problems with the O-line gelling this spring aside, Cav has landed some pretty elite talent on O-line as well, though I get that he hasn't had quite the success of the above guys. The only position I kind of wonder about right now is honestly RB, simply because we have yet to land a truly elite back, yet this school has a history of putting elite backs in the NFL.

Good post. I think, however, when it's all said and done, if Tre Bryant stays healthy and get better each year, he could be a decent NFL back.

The Skinny: Williams enjoyed his visit so much that it would not come as a surprise to see him join the class sooner rather than later. Initially offered as a receiver, Nebraska is now mainly recruiting him as a cornerback. He's very close with both Keith Williams and Donte Williams on the Huskers' coaching staff as well as NU commits Bookie Radley-Hiles and Manuel Allen.

Kid looks huge for a CB. Wouldn't be surprised to see him at S or OLB in a few years.

So, C-Dub is recruited as a CB and not a WR? I'm very impressed with this staff's commitment to recruiting California. Wow.

On this site shows as WR but what ever. Ill take him. And if people are still against Riley and not on the Riley train can definitely gi fly a kite. We haven't this type of recruiting since Callahan and hed been safe if he fired his DC years before. This staff is awesome, they work there tails off, top tier recruiting and have top tier coaching. We WILL see good things happen soon. Mark it down!!

We will see about top tier coaching this year. No on-field concrete proof of it yet.
