Should we have interest in this guy? Former 4 star D lineman available immediately after MSU evidently backed out on his scholarship offer. He's supposedly looking at other B1G and Pac 12 schools. Originally signed with MSU then left to go to a JUCO for a year.

Wouldn't pulling his scholarship be a red flag? Winking
Yeah I think NU football is further up the food chain. The Husker football program has rarely taken a transfer (for any reason), let alone a kid who had a scholarship pulled.

supposedly they like what they have coming out of spring ball and decided they didn't need him. He had earlier decided on UCLA then for some reason changed his mind and decided to go back to MSU. I don't know if he was an academic casualty when he transferred to a JUCO or what. It may have been nothing more than questioning whether or not he could stay academically qualified. He says he was. Maybe he wasn't for MSU. I really don't know much about him other than that he's a pretty physically talented kid.

They didn't need him? If you have someone good enough to make your three deep on the dline you need him (especially with all the rotation and all the injuries that occur there).

Don't shoot the messenger. Those were the words used in the article I read. I agree that if he's good enough to make the 3 deep, you probably need him. That is why I asked the question originally posed. I don't know what the real story is with MSU and Peat. All I know is what was written in the story from some MSU website.

No prob. Probably similar to most boards on flipping recruits. "No big deal. We didn't really want him."

Turns out he hasn't finished his associates degree from his JUCO which was apparently a condition of his return to MSU according to DAntonio....but he's supposedly going to finish it in August. So ???? Who's the bad guy here?

Is the correct answer D'Antonio? He pulled a 'ship on a guy who is a really good player because...I still don't know how to finish this.
