Lombardi played 7.
He transferred before that. We would have won 8 games with a healthy Casey.
He was a true frosh in 2017 at MSUESPN shows 6.

Am I underselling him? I figured he'd win a few more but probably blow a couple close games. Please explain this 8 games theory?
- I have heard this on the radio
- I have heard it in here
- I have heard this from peers
Let me preface that I personally believe that a competent QB would of got us to 10 minimum
- Minnesota - 1W (Last minute TO)
- Colorado - 1L (Although our QB turnovers were 100% the reason for the Colorado takeover in the 2nd half)
- Northern Illinois - 2W
- Louisiana Tech - 3W
- Michigan - 2L (Only guaranteed Loss)
- Illinois - 4W
- Northwestern - 5W
- Purdue - 6W
- Michigan State - 7W (Stalled offense all game)
- Maryland - 8W (Last minute TO see Minnesota)
- Wisconsin - 9W (We don't settle for the FG)
- Iowa - 10W (Did you see the end?)
So again where does this 8 wins come from? I see 10 wins with a competent QB
Coaches basically told him that Sims was the guy. He'd be similar to Mccord, great pick up if we can get him. I'm sure he'd get some nil deal better than florida atl.
Neither is Io a according to the top dog lmao
That's what I thoughtSo he started playing college football when Mike Riley was coaching here.
Thompson isn't as good as Mccord but he could have probably gone 11-1 or 10-2 throwing to the receivers they had at osu.How would he be similar to McCord? Thompson threw for 500 yards 5 TD/5INT at FAU and will be coming off of major knee surgery. McCord was 3rd team All-B1G. He is an NFL guy coming in to start, while Thompson is a depth guy coming in to get a start on his coaching career.

Charles Thompson is not the most honest guy in any room. IIRC when he sold cocaine to a FBI agent he said it was entrapment or that he was buying it for a friend or some such bogus story…I assume he said the transfer stuff to help his son out, so maybe it’s not all bad but still. From September 9 of this year.
I mean, lying in that situation is something we would all do.Charles Thompson is not the most honest guy in any room. His coke head dad’s story. From September 9 of this year.
He did the right thing. He was injured and Rhule brought in a guy. Said guy failed spectacularly, so Casey would have started and probably gotten some wins. I dont blame him. Nice thing is that he’ll get a free phd when it’s all said and done.He transferred bc Rhule put all his faith in Sims.
That’s not the version of things I’ve heard expressed by former Husker players on the radio. Why in the world would Rhule tell him to transfer? The version that was widely discussed was that Charles wanted a guarantee that Casey would start. To that Rhule said then you might want to look around. Only Rhule, Charles and Casey know for sure but I don’t trust Charles to give us anything but half truths.Do you know if it’s untrue?
Rhule guaranteed sims the job to get himBased on what? He didn’t even stick around for any practices to compete and find out. CT was coming off surgery, did he really think a new staff wouldn’t go get another QB?
