Per Joseph, he took reps in practice Thursday. Casey says he's ready to go, but I assume the doc has an opinion. If it's a nerve thing, those can come around pretty quickly once inflammation recedes.

We don't win without him. It's probably all smoke and mirrors and we see Chubs shit the bed again, but at least it keeps Minny a little off of the scent.

I would be touting Smothers as the likely starter all week citing injuries to QB 1-2 to
f*#k with Minnesota

unless QB1-2 are really injured and you are actually going with Smothers

I don't know if Casey will be able to play but REGARDLESS the coaching staff better have more than one QB ready to play this week. So far, one of my biggest criticisms of the staff under MJ's reign is the decision to keep playing an injured Purdy in last week's game. Purdy was terrible either because he was injured or not adequately prepared. Either way the staff should have pulled him and put in Smothers or someone else to finish out the game. It's not like they didn't know Casey was injury prone.

Let’s run a diamond formation with Casey, Chubba, Smothers and Masker.
Ahh yes … I remember back in the Pelini days when multiple national titles would have ensued had we just been in the diamond formation more often … but alas Pelini was too stubborn to listen to us

The Ravens actually ran the diamond some last year and the announcers praised the innovation…..
