Going to the 9:20 showing at South Pointe. Hopefully this epic showdown lives up to the hype.

Its really good. Fight scenes are amazing. A lot of humor. Best Spiderman ever on film. Couple of big surprises too.

Adults go to this?

A music and food snob. This place proves it. Then there's the humor snobs... and the guys that get butthurt and say "stick to sports" when they are not comfortable with a topic. All great.

All snobs suck.

I was off on Friday and alone so I got bored and decided to go an afternoon showing. I was extremely entertained the whole time. I loved the Black Panther and Spiderman and can't wait to see more of them.

I don't even think there was one child in the theatre. Room full of nerds I guess.

Saw it friday with two of my kids. Thought it sucked. These Marvel movies are all starting to look the same.

They've been like that for quite some time. I only go to them when there isn't anything on Netflix and I'm incredibly bored.

Here's a few that look really good that I want to see on DVD.

-The Last Man on the Moon
-The Messenger
-Phoenix
-James White

I usually love all comic book movies (even the BvS that got ripped by critics) but this one just lacked something to make it special. The black panther and Spider-Man were great though and can't wait to see their solo movies

I thought it was very entertaining and a thought provoking movie. Sort of a "who polices the police" conundrum. Plus it was fun to watch! I was pretty disappointed in Batman v Superman so Civil War was refreshing.

You thought Captain America was, "thought-provoking?"

Yes. What's your opinion: you have an elite team of superheroes. Do they choose to be governed by inferior humans or continue to go rogue and do what they think is right?

The Captain America movies have all had a good subtext. You just have to be adult enough to look. Self sacrifice and patriotism, Govt overreach and a surveillance state, lack of due process. Pretty heady stuff for a "kiddie comic movie".

Thor dealt with learning to put put others before oneself, Iron Man has PTSD on a few levels, heck even AntMan was pretty much about a guy who just wanted to be a good dad.

Not every movie has to be high art and these dont claim to be. They are escapist comic book fare. Dont like them? Thats all good. But no need to denigrate those that do.
