The next 4 games are crucial. Starts by sacking up and beating Illinois Friday.

@ Illinois
Northwestern
Purdue
@ Michigan State
Maryland
@ Wisconsin
Iowa

Why every Sunday someone comes up with this question ?

It‘s quite obvious what happens in the next 4 games will determine if we have any shot by the time we end the season with Ioway..

This might be the easiest schedule we may ever have again in the Big 10. I knows Rhule doesn’t want to cut corners, and I don’t think we necessarily have to, but this program needs as much practice as it can get. We need to make a bowl game.

Better find a way to go 1-0 and beat Illinois on Friday. GBR til I die!

After yesterday, it made me doubt the rest of the way. We get a bye week after Illinois.

I think we can edge Butthead. We had better beat the sex artists of NW. Purdue is beatable. MSU won't be a jerker, (lol). Maryland historically falls apart in the back half of every season so let's hope for that. Wisc is probably a loss. Ioway is a toss up...

It's possible, but FPI currently gives Nebraska only a 20.5% chance of getting to six wins, with an average finish of 4.4 wins and 7.6 losses.

They can do it. There needs to be a sense of urgency in the locker room and football offices. Guys need to be holding each other accountable for lack of effort and mental mistakes.

Of course we can. All are winnable. But we are kidding ourselves thinking we will win 4. Let’s make it a surprise tho and manage our expectations better

If we avoid stupid turnovers, I think this team can hang with a lot of the teams left on the schedule. The Big 10 West is just terrible.

We can if Sims is healthy and returns as our starting QB. A healthy Sims would have given Michigan's defense more trouble than HH because of his experience and his ability to elude the rush and scramble for yardage.
Sims can do everything HH can do, only better. If he can cut down on turnovers, he gives us a better chance of winning than HH.

Higher ceiling but lower floor.

You're sharing this on here. You're brave! :)

Every game we have left is winnable. But the next four are against the weakest teams remaining on our schedule. We need to win at least three of those four. Illinois is terrible. Purdue is not very good but not terrible. MSU seems dismal. NW is strangely better than I thought. And I will be at that game so we better win it. We need to get Reimer and Lenhardt back.

A lot depends on the mood of the team right now. Here is where Rhule earns that fat salary. He needs to convince these players that they can win the next 7 games. Because they can. How damaged is the team morale by that utter beatdown from Michigan? This next game against Illinois is one of the most important of the season. A very, very winnable game and if we win it we are 3-3 and the bad taste of the Michigan game is washed away. Win the next four and we are bowl eligible and 6-3. That will give us solid momentum heading into our last three tough games.

I think we will lose to Maryland and Wisconsin. But I think we take Iowa. 7-5. But Rhule needs to remind the team, and I am sure he will, that if we win all the rest we can win the West.

4-8 seems right. Anything better would be welcome of course, but we are also only an injury or two (at key positions) from a total collapse. Injuries are really mounting up!

@ Illinois close but win because of the defense 3-3
Bye
Northwestern always close pull it late in the fourth 4-3
Purdue always seen to have something weird with them. Lose but close 4-4
@ Mich St the game that decides the end of the season. Need defense to turn over a couple times. Haarbarg makes a couple runs to seal it 5-4
Maryland tend to fall later on the season but this one ends up short as Maryland starts too fast to catch up 5-5
@ Wisconsin, new style offense that tends to help out defense. If at home, it’s a win but on the road 5-6
Iowa with a shot at a bowl game. Defense gets back to being nasty one last time and offense does enough to end the Bowlless streak and Brian’s job as OC. 6-6.

Extra practices and another game

The rest of the season will tell us how good of a hire we made. Michigan was way out of our league talent wise. I don’t think we have a single player who could make their 2-deep

However all remaining teams we have basically equal or better talent. Maryland may be an exception but that is in Lincoln so it should be a toss-up also. So these remaining games will tell us how good a coach Rhule is when the talent is about equal. He coached a loss out of Minn and he can’t do that again the rest of the year. We could win every game or lose every game they are that even. If Rhule can get 4 that is 4-4 agaist equal talent and he would get a first year nod of approval. Less than 4 and we made a mistake.

It’s +3 draft king
Fanduel is always first and it was +3.5. Going to +3 right away says people thought what I thought. I took the under so I don’t have to root for Nebraska. I don’t think Illinois scores more than 10.
