I just reread this whole marvelous thread and didn’t see this coach refereed to as “ghetto” or “boy”.
I did however see: clown, politician, dumpster fire, train wreck, dipshit, bush league.
Those are all things said about other coaches on this board. Yet questioning this coach, predictably, has 2 of the 3 usual suspects calling posters: racist dumbasses, simple minded af, racist, bigot, etc. Hmm.

You are using a different set of rules for this coach than any other and that is a fact. There are three of you that do this very thing in like every thread and it just blows my mind.

I understand your frustration. I’ve largely stayed out of this thread. Calling Deion a minority hire may not be fair and detract from his accomplishments. Calling him ghetto or boy is suggestive as well.
One of the big problems is Deion is Colorado’s coach, whom husker fans hate. Whenever Deion does something different, like it or not, he’s gonna be called out. Always having a camera recording things doesn’t help much. It may not be all about Deion, but it’s hard to see it differently. For the most part, I don’t see a ton of “ghetto, boy” posts. Most of the posts seem to be hating on Deion for being different and Colorado’s head coach. But maybe I need to go back and reread all the posts. I might see it different.
I don’t like Deion, but only because he’s Colorado’s coach. If he were Nebraska’s coach I would feel differently for sure.

I'm actually glad he took that job and in doing so practically doubled the black population in Boulder at the same time...few towns needed more diversity than Boulder....fun fact, my wife literally dated the only black kid at Boulder High School when she lived and went to school there....
I honestly have no idea how he is going to do there....I could see him succeeding at a pretty high level....and failing equally as bad....can't wait to watch it all unfold.

Actually, I know that he's not the best hire we could have made, regardless of wins and losses. Didn't want Fleck and didn't want Urb, for the exact same reasons. It is 100% about them. Rhule Is a bit of a talker too. Of course he dresses conventionally, Doesn’t have a camera follow him around all the time, but he does have his own interesting rituals like his themed weeks etc-Like his father the minister I suppose. Dion by being a little more unconventional is putting a lot of pressure on himself to win big, or potentially be ridiculed.
