Calvin Avery to....

OK, help me out there, Avery gets all of the offers with the question of not qualifying but a kid from Nebraska gets no offers because of the same thing?

The reality is Illinois may not be world beaters but they certainly give us all we can handle on the field. Until we can beat the also-rans of the B1G we can't expect to be mentioned in the top tier of the league much less the nation.

Call it what you want, Debbie Downer or whatever, it doesn't change the fact that history is what it is and until the results show up on the field, we are what we most recently accomplished on the field of play.

I am hopeful this is Nebraska's break out year - what that looks like, I have no idea but it is time to start building some momentum for the future of this program.

It says a ton that all of the Texas schools, Oklahoma schools, and Nebraska passed in him. Nothing to be concerned about for us here.

Word on the OU board is qualifying issues. Also a good year for D linemen in Missouri and Oklahoma.
