Just to recap. Kentucky had two guards drafted in the NBA lottery (#3 and #8). Had another guy drafted in the 2nd round and Justin Edwards, one of the most hyped HS players in Philadelphia history (believe it or not) went undrafted and signed with the 76ers. The talent was there. I do think that Calipari may be aging and less effective as a coach but the main factor is the transfer portal and NIL. When rival teams can snatch up older players who are stars on their former teams, suddenly Calipari's 18 year olds can't just show up and dominate on talent alone.
