Calabraska

No idea, good problem to have! I do worry a bit that Gebbia's talent and stats are bit inflated due to his supporting cast. But I also think that the rapport he already has with KJJr could benefit the team going forward. Given our depth at the position, I do think it possible that we take both.

NU might miss on both. NU is either second or a possible co-leader for both. Neither is a guarantee.

NU should take one elite QB, if possible, and then take that in state stud QB/Ath.

Gebbia would be the bigger splash on the national scene. Coan sure looks like a big athlete.

We get Gebbia and KJJ and it is pretty eye opening to other recruits. California recruits would take notice. Top 100 recruits with great offer lists open eyes when they commit early. Especially at the QB position. Gebbia would have a long time to develop. Hard to teach natural arm strength. Give the kid 2-3 years of S&C and coaching and he could be deadly. One would think we could pack 10lbs per year on him from 17-20.

They will take one of Gebbia/Coan, both won't commit to Nebraska IMO. I think they take QBs in this class, Gebbia and a 500 mile radius/in state kid.

Lot of chatter from fairly reliable guys on another board that Gebbia is a pretty decent Ole Miss lean. They were really hoping his visit here today would change that, it was probably our last chance.

Bummer

McShane's post makes me think otherwise, but I suppose we will find out soon enough.

He's an Ole Miss legacy. His dad played for the Rebs.

No true at all hes a lean to nebraska. Will commit before spring game. And will also be recruiting for the N at the spring game with kjj.

Sometimes commas make all the difference in the world. I take it since you were replying to Jflores, you meant he really is a lean to Nebraska, not Ole Miss. What you said made it sound like he is definitely not a Nebraska lean ;).

Well yah, obviously if our visit is going well, then we certainly could have changed his mind. I think we all hope that happens

Lots of good going on. We will take the highs and the lows. Let's just hope for more ups than downs. GBR

Calabraska? Good one. While I lived 50 miles up the 101 from Calabasas and therefore don't have the most extensive knowledge of that wealthy town, if you asked me a name a town in California that is a 180 degree opposite of Lincoln, it might be Calabasas, which only proves recruiting is about personal relationships much more than weather, beaches or celebrity sitings. Hopefully we will get at least a couple of these kids, as much of the recruiting hype seems to center around that small town.
