Don't know if I missed it but we are 1 week from the game and I have heard nothing about the BYU suspensions for the fight after their bowl game. At one time I was hearing 9 players possible.

Now if BYU is going to have suspensions and just not announce who, then that's good coaching because it makes it more difficult for us to prepare. However, if they are saving the suspensions for an easier game then we need to play that card also.

I hope Riley has every player suited and ready to go. If we see BYU guys starting that obviously should be suspended than we play our suspended players also. Save the suspensions for south Alabama.

Ummmmmm...their concern is not our concern. Our suspensions have nothing to do with BYU.

BYU said early on that (at least in part) due to relatively new school rules about the disclosure of discipline that they wouldn't make an early announcement about who was suspended.

"Those decisions were made a long time ago, and I don't intend to address it publicly, at least until game week"-- Bronco Mendenhall a couple weeks ago.

BYU has fairly strict rules, and their board and alumni are extremely sensitive to how the school is perceived. Many honestly see the football team as part of their mission outreach. Mendenhall's on a bit of thin ice due to less than great won-loss records and the bowl fight, almost no chance he delays the suspensions.

In any case, it's not like BYU has a significantly easier game for a while. Their first 4 games are nasty when Michigan at Michigan is the easy game.

We haven't announced our suspended players either.

What did Memphis do to their players?

Memphis announced their suspensions already. A few months ago I think.

I expect BYU to suspend their players for the opener and possibly several other games. Their honor code is strict, I doubt they make an exception because the first game isn't a gimme. They suspend players for drinking and sex. I can't imagine fighting on national TV will be overlooked or taken lightly.

What did Memphis do to their players?

Memphis announced back in January that 12 players would be suspended for between 1/2 and 2 games, but as far as I can find they haven't announced names yet. The list may be a little shorter now, the player caught on video taking off his helmet and clubbing a BYU player in the back of his head with it has left the team. That guy should have gotten over a 2 game suspension, IMO.

I didn't see where Memphis announced players would be suspended only that they would handle the punishment internally and not is the press.

Here's the article I found--
Memphis and the American Athletic Conference announced Tuesday that 12 different Tigers players will face suspensions of varying lengths for their involvement in the violent brawl at the conclusion of the Miami Beach Bowl. ... The players will face suspensions ranging from a half-game to two full games of the 2015 season... Memphis coach Justin Fuente is not expected to announce the lengths of the suspensions nor the suspended players' names until the beginning of the 2015 season.

If you went back far enough here; there were some people that seemed to know some things or have them fairly figured out. One important D starter is about all I bothered to remember; and we have that by rumor. My guess is they may be hurt a little more depth wise..... Cant change it; their rb moving on seems to be a bigger deal - the second key is whether the qb is fully recovered. He is really fired up and makes that team way better; some here fear him, he will take some hits. I hope he is fully recovered; their early schedule will be a qauntlet, some of their fans think he can just run over people, he will pay for that. GBR
