... this was a pretty challenging game for a new staff with inexperienced players implementing new schemes. In the first game of the season, I think there's a lot to be said for a team with the continuity of staff and schemes combined with the maturity of players that comes simply from age and experience on a roster of 20 something mission graduates led (for the bulk of the game) by a 25 year old man.

Lot's of stuff put on film for the team to work on. Lot's of youngsters with little live experience. O-Line went from having 15 games starting experience to 20 in one game and got their first game as a unit under their belt. Team responded well to a pretty miserable 2nd quarter and despite failing three 4th quarter 3rd down conversions that would have likely iced the game, it took a miracle hail mary with 1 second left to lose.

Honestly think this game would have been a solid victory if played 3-4 games into the season and looking forward to watching this team develop and improve over the season.

Miami looms large now as a .500 non-con slate would be pretty disappointing but we're still on schedule to go 3-1 and 6-2 and make an appearance in CCG. I think that's probably about the pre-season consensus prediction of the fanbase.
