Son of a biscuit! Does that mean he is out for the spring game? Was really hoping he would make it and that we would have an advantage. Was really hoping we could get him. This blows
Not having followed, is he somebody we are after and/or have a chance with?Originally posted by ssmith84:
Chris Oladokun is my preference, even over Peters

Yeah, that's what Riley's offense is focused on. A dual threat QB. ?????????Originally posted by phoenix4nu:
Personally, I would prefer more of a dual threat quarterback. Hopefully they are recruiting someone like that.
I don't know if Peters was the best target. Jacob Eason is also a pro-style qb that is being targeted.Originally posted by WestCoastCornhusker:
Riley is offense is more of a pro style QB but that has some speed and can run a few times/game. So, he is probably looking for the faster pro style qb or a dual threat that is more arm.
And Peters was Riley's best qb target that is now gone.

I just don't see it. Feels more like a Pelini recruit. You compared him to Russel Wilson? The guy has good escapability, but lots of his throws look arm-puntish. But if Langsdorf and Riley think he can do it, I am more than willing to see what happens. Would be nice to land someone that felt like a sure thing, and for me, that guy was Peters.Originally posted by ssmith84:

I didn't see the arm punt thing at all. Can you link the film you watched and maybe the time (ish) where you saw them. Its been a while since I watched.Originally posted by ssmith84:

I hated myself for throwing the Russell Wilson part in there, because it always seems to detract from the discussion. From what I remember watching, Oladokun was making some very accurate throws on the move under duress. I'd like to see more of what he can do when not running for his life. On his hudl junior film, he makes a really nice throw to the back pylon that he drops in where only his receiver could get it.
Maybe some of my preference for him over Peters is that Peters is off the table. Curses Harbaugh.
Eason is a pipe dream, IMOOriginally posted by nebcountry:

Agreed, Eason is a pipe dream. But, Eason is more highly rated than Peters, referring to the best qb target. IMO, Peters was a pipe dream as well. On this site, Peters had 3 high interest places singled out as his favorites. Michigan was one, NU was not. I don't believe it took too much arm twisting for Peters to commit to Michigan.Originally posted by ssmith84:
