Bourbon Connoisseurs

Hoping somebody can point me in the right direction here, looking to get an associate some Bourbon as a gift. I'm only looking to spend $50-60ish, not being cheap just office BS. What little he's talked about it and us trying to bring it up last couple months. He doesn't like one that's too sweet and is fairly smooth. Any help is appreciated!
