Most seem to be very happy with BD as our new DC with the scheme change and the energy he brings. I know that he had a good reputation at ND.
Does anyone know anything regarding the causes of the pretty dismal results at UCONN the past 3 years? I looked at the rivals rankings for the classes that were signed between 2011 and 2013 (the players that he mostly played with for 2014 to 2016). The 2011 to 2013 classes were ranked significantly higher than the three classes BD brought in (2014-2016). All three of his recruiting classes were either out of the top 100 or just barely in. The results on the field were pretty dismal.
Has he proven to be a good recruiter from his days at ND? Is he just better suited to be a DC and not a HC? Did something else happen at UCONN that led to the such a poor performance on the field and in recruiting?
