bob bergdahl = fails in life

I propose we cease failing at football so Texas can stop taking credit

Texas had nothing to do with Nebraska failing to maintain a top level football program ... those seeds were sown when the program, coming off 3 national titles in 4 years, was handed over to a life long running backs coach

I agree that losing DR. Tom and all he brought to the table was a big reason, for a drop..and the reality of football itself. but the bob bergdahis of the world don't help.

...who proceeded to win 12 games, 10 games, 11 games, 7 games, & 10 games. What would you rather have, a lifelong >.500 d-backs coach?

Yes. He is sure proving us wrong with all those MAC titles he is collecting.

Turner gill has more MAC titles in 4 years than Frankie has in 11 (zero). Enough said

So now Nebraska's program is on par with Ohio? What a dumb argument.

Is that really the argument JLB is making? Or are you just trying to be difficult?

Pretty sure that since you are pointing out his record at Nebraska you are talking about how great a coach he is. If that is the case, why has TG won more MAC titles than the great Frank Solich?

Solich has done a good job at Ohio but he has zero conference championships. How is pointing this out putting Nebraska on par with Ohio? If the issue is lack of conference championships, Solich's 1 championship in 99 was not enough to save his job. We made a change. Bo failed to win any conference championships. He needed to go. Frank hasn't won any championships at Ohio but the brass is content to keep him. If Nebraska were on par with Ohio, we would have kept Pelini.

Talk about dumb arguments...

I'm suggesting the problem isn't with Frank's coaching, it's with Ohio's stature in college football. To say he wouldn't have won more titles at Nebraska is questioning the Husker's stature. Thanks for butting in to save your girlfriend though.

I'd have to disagree with your statement , Steve Pederson himself and the hire of Bill Callahan put this program back 4 or 5 years.

Actually your statement made no sense because it was crap. Good coaches win wherever they go. So Urban was bad until he got to Florida and Ohio State? I don't think so.

Good coaches can win wherever they land. JLB was talking about coaching. You're the one who changed the thread to location. Instead of attempting to change the statement made by JLB to fit your narrative, just stop trying to be smart. It's not working.
