Birmingham, AL watchsite and things to do?

I will be in Birmingham, AL for a week, and want to know the type of turnout they get at the Blackwell's Neighborhood Pub watch site? We will be there during the So. Alabama game.

Any nice areas like the Old Market or Haymarket to get food and drink? Any other local attractions we should consider?
