Biggest concerns for the season

So tell me Iowa wouldn't swap coaching staffs and recruiting right now ? No offense ( nothing personal ), but I wouldn't trade with you.

Ouch. That silenced the Iowegian. BTW, Mike Riley was given Ryan Leaf as his starting QB by his GM and had to play him. That pretty much says it all about what he had to work with in the NFL.

My biggest concern is how the fans react if we lose to BYU or Miami or possibly even both. Getting past those first few games will be huge. We will get better as the season progresses. Patience everyone!

This is my biggest concern as well. If we lose games because the coaches are calling plays like we have Mannion at QB and not taking advantage of what I think is a very talented and deep group of RB's, that will drive me nuts.

The Portland article said they are taking only 3 RB to Miami. Sounds like passing to me.

We've got a MONTH before the Miami game and the travel roster is fluid at best. There is going to likely be at least one RB taken just to play special teams in addition to the 3 deep. The travel roster number restrictions are ridiculous and meant purely to limit costs for the lower revenue programs.
