B1G is 76-58 in non-conference play 3 weeks into 2018.
Only the ACC and SEC have more non-conference wins.
That's out of 31 conferences Eek
And here we are again with 9 B1G teams in the .500 or better club.

Even though they didn't make the club
Penn St gets top mention for breaking their 5 game losing streak.
The Nittany Lions finally take a game from the Gauchos of Santa Barbara.

The good thing across the conference this past weekend
was that nobody got swept ;)

The biggest B1G winner of the weekend has to go to Illinois
The winner of the Dairy Queen Pac 12/B1G Challenge
going undefeated vs Arizona, #11 UCLA and #8 Washington.

Indiana went 3 of 4 @ San Diego
Hoosiers still top of the B1G totem pole.

Iowa's weekend was equally impressive
winning the series @ UAB
Hawkeyes have a 3 game series @ a 11-1 UNLV this weekend.

Purdue had an opportunity at a big win, but ran out of gas.
Still thinking highly of the Boilermakers.
Get a chance to rebound in a 3 game series @ 6-5 Tulane.

Ohio St took advantage of their big opportunity vs Southern Miss
but then had a hang over the next day vs Eastern Michigan.
Buckeyes will be heading to Coastal Carolina's Tournament.

Maryland is on a 5 game win streak.
Terps should be adding to their win column,
with a upcoming 3 game home series with 2-7 Bryant

Minnesota may not have won their Tournament,
so they might end up taking it out
in a 3 game with Creighton at US Bank Stadium.

Rutgers clawed their way back into the .500 or better club
with winning the series with Old Dominion.
Play Army in 3 games down in Florida

And then there was Nebraska
who almost lost it's seat in the .500 or better club.
Did the Huskers just find their identity for 2018?
Too early to tell, but that's the team we are all wanting to see.
GBR

Go B1G

In the way-too-early RPI chase the Big Ten ranks 4th just a teensy behind the B 12. Also there is an early disparity in the number of games played by each conference.
