Big Ten football: Projecting every team's 2023 starting QB, including Ohio State's replacement for C.J. Stroud

I’d say Minnesota’s Kaliakmanis has starting experience he started the final 4 games in 2022..

54% completions - 3 TDs 4 INTS
threw for a whopping 80 yards in their bowl game
game manager at best

+ they lose Ibrahim and a great deal of their o line

given what a clown everyone agrees Fleck is -I'm liking our chances in this game more and more

He ended up getting hurt in the 1stQ of the Pinstripe bowl…Top WR returns and a couple of TE and have some depth at running back, Potts will be a Junior and they landed a portal from Western Michigan..

Defense will still be stout..

He looked pretty good against us.

I see after committing 72 million dollars we are now in the phase of talking up the teams on our pathetic schedule in order to lower expectations

This isn’t Frost and company where they need to be coddled and comforted before and after each game

Good grief maybe that Minnesota QB will read this board and decide to go pro

It’s ok to have some expectations people

Lighten up Francis.. Nebraska isn’t starting the season with a MAC or AAC school at home..

The West will be loaded with a good mixture of proven guys and a ton of potential at the QB position. I’m super intrigued by how Wisconsin’s new offense is gonna do in this division.
I know you iowa boys like to think bigten west defenses rule, but the reality is the bigten west offenses have been pretty subpar and therefore some bigten west defenses get overrated and by some I mean iowa and Illinois.

So you’re not intrigued by Nebraska new offense which likely has more offensive weapons than Wisconsin..

Didn’t minnesota lose to a MAC school at home as like 30 point favorites?

They’re a cupcake, just like the rest of our terrible division

Bowling Green, not sure if they were 30 point favorites..

2019 they slid by South Dakota St starting the season and barely got by Georgia Southern..

We lost to Georgia Southern...FWIW..

Exactly

Fleck lost to frost for gods sake

They stink. Week zero should be a blowout

every big ten west team has to replace their opening day starter from the 2022 season except us
we should feast on this division
Judging by last year's results I'm not sure that will make the division any worse as a whole... lol.

Any coach capable of losing to frost sucks

Minnesota is not a tough opener. We were given a rare gift by the conference - a should-be 1-0 start - over the past 3 years

Rhule better not f*ck it up like the last guy did
Rhule was 2-10 his first year at Temple and 1-11 at Baylor. Are you setting yourself up for too high of expectations?

But they still have dip$&it Bryan Ferentz as O/C and QB’s coach…
True, but McNamara should be a huge upgrade at QB, and they'll have both Erick All and Luke Lachey at TE, along with Caleb Johnson, an impressive frosh this past year at RB.

As long as the Hawks don't slide too much on defense and special teams (not likely), they should be able to handle a home conference slate of Illinois, Minnesota, Purdue, MSU and Rutgers. That means they need only to split a road schedule of Penn State, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Nebraska.

Eminently doable. Unfortunately.

Whip was a throw-first kind of guy. Rhule/Satterfield will try to establish the run. Sounds drastic.
“As drastic”. Going from 90% under center, I-formation to air raid is way more drastic than trying to establish the run. Unless, Nebraska is doing the opposite and going to be Iowa or Wisconsin.
