That's one thing I don't agree with on how the Big Ten does the tourney. You have all season to fight for your seeding. The higher seed should always be home team in my opinion.Purdue will be the home team tonight.

I don't mind it, seeding gives you matchups and home/away in the first round, beyond that treat everyone as a tournament participant just the same. Plus seeding is the tiebreaker when two teams have played the same number of games as the home team. That's one thing I don't agree with on how the Big Ten does the tourney. I mean it isn't something that should make or break a game but still feel it adds that advantage and feel the higher seed earned it over the course of a season. Since we score at least 15 runs a game minimum now it shouldn't matter.I don't mind it, seeding gives you matchups and home/away in the first round, beyond that treat everyone as a tournament participant just the same. My favorite being the ump asking a player to step in the batter's box and someone in the dugout yelling "What's in the box?!" like Brad Pitt in Se7en.
