Betts is back!

For sure...

There are too many fans that think dudes with great talent don't work hard.

I would rather get rid of Timmy Ra-Ra that you know is never ever going to play.
There is a large contingent of fans and posters here who quit on the Huskers under our previous coach

Many are here dogging Betts for doing the same

B1G football scholarships are guaranteed for 4 years

I don’t know how it works in this case & frankly don’t care

We have way, way worse players on scholarship than Betts
They are 4 year deals but a kid can be removed from the team and put on a non-football scholarship as I understand the rule.

Fast dudes that can take the top off of a defense?

Half in half out talent that doesn't work hard enough to ever realize their potential and likely bringing the team down in the process.

I trust Rhule. Just looking at how he ran Temple and Baylor and listening to the other coaches when they talk about his process, he doesn’t suffer fools and doesn’t put up with BS. If they let him back on the team, there have been conversations and the staff is ok with it.

I just wouldn’t give him a scholarship until he earns it.

That whiny QB was the last QB to win us a conference championship. He also won a heisman and had us playing in the championship.

Give me Betts over hardworking less talented walk-one any day, as long as Betts is now serious. Elite talent trumps the rest
So you want more-talented guys over less- talented guys. Makes sense.

Working at Buffalo Wild Wings as a server for 14 bucks an hour is probably pretty soul crushing when he could have been making at least triple that salary in NIL endorsements.
Yeah, that's like when Rocky retired after the first Creed fight and worked lugging beef.

We're going to find out pretty quick who is willing to put in the work and those that aren't. I will always give people the second chance and if they really are sincere about a change in attitude great. This kind reminds me of the prodigal son who returns when he realizes he was wasting a big opportunity and one that doesn't come around very often.

Rhule doesn't strike me as a coach who is going to allow a player to negatively affect the culture no matter how talented he is.

The kid is worth a second shot. If he doesn't get with the program, he'll be gone again. Risk vs reward. The potential reward outweighs the risk given that Rhule can cut him loose if he needs to.

nah, just a kid trying to figure it out. He’s top end talent and worth what little risk bringing him back may pose.

The cancer is gone. I'm willing to let Rhule see what he can get out of him.

Yeah I just think that’s an overly simplistic view point. The “it’s Scott’s fault” view point. I hope Rhule can squeeze water from a rock with this kid but I wouldn’t bet on it.

It's simplistic? Frost was the head honcho. He proved over and over what a pos he was. Not a leader of men at all . But nah let's blame an 18 yr old.

Ahhh this dude is a gold memeber and a Scott Frost crack licker. No wonder he is anti Betts. He knows Frost helped this kid lose his passion for football by promising the world and then not living up to the promises he gave. Scottie is this you?

No no no. It’s easier to believe the alcoholic, arrogant idiot (who was a transfer himself).

The only knuckle dragger that agrees is the illiterate, elderly board member. That says a lot

Yes…it’s simplistic to think that if a kid had character issues it was automatically frost that developed those character issues. The kid has had issues his entire career.

MJ wasn't the head coach. The buck stops with him. Nothing to do with crotch matters. Come on man
Mickey was his position coach? Correct…I’ll leave it at that.

Have nothing against Betts, Rhule has laid down the rules for him to succeed.

If I’m Rhule, this is a nothing ventured, nothing gained situation. The player in question is a blank slate as far as he’s concerned. He has obvious athletic abilities, but little focus. Either he has wised up or not. He’s a receiver that can stretch the field.

He quit on Mickey more than anyone else..Has nothing to do with the Crutch hatters..
Wtf is a crutch hatter? Can you (for once in your life) try the English language for a change?

MJ was a position for less than a year? Correct. Did MJ have anything to do with his recruitment? And to see what another pos in MJ did can't fault this kid quitting
