I find that completely impossible to believe. It is everywhere on this very board and is met with insane hostility by a group of posters/fan boys if questioned.
We need multiple rankings. One for HS/Juco kids, and one for portal activity in/out. The recruiting services and their rankings that we have historically used really only address the HS kids.
People have tried to rank the portal/transfer activity, and CU has been at or near #1. Getting last year’s #1 recruit plus Deion Jr was a great start, but they’ve also added others just like we have.

@king_kong_, the one thing I would point out is even that after it has been pointed out by numerous posters in this thread you have continued to say they have the #1 overall class. That is not even close to true. Their portal class is highly rated (even #1 by On3) but their overall class remains in the mid 20s. Big difference, and not something to be overlooked.
Deion has put together a good class, no doubt, on par with (even slightly better than, according to most sites) Rhule. Not arguing that. But nowhere near #1 overall.

okay, so the #1 portal class. I will update my language to reflect this caveat moving forward. accuracy is important and I appreciate you all keeping me accountable.

Apologies for the vague wording of my OP that may have caused confusion - was referring to the #1 portal class which probably has more relevance to our games with them the next 2 years than the incoming freshman classes
I think one might reasonably conclude that CUs incoming class (freshman + portal) is ranked higher than ours
The freshman class ratings are similar while CUs portal class is rated significantly higher than ours
Also take into consideration they have 11 more portal players..
Auburn #3 has 13 but 8 of them are 4*, FSU#2 has 9 commits and 7 are 4*, #1 LSU and Kelly have 11 but 8 are 4*….
yes - volume is a factor in all the rankings - including incoming freshman
we have the largest class freshman class in the big ten, and I think there are only 2 or 3 classes larger than ours in the top 50 rated classes
we are rated one spot ahead of colorado who has 4 less commits
when we talk about going from rated 65 to top 25, oddly no one mentions class size
Who cares. Good for Colorado..... go discuss on there board. Rhule is in the middle of a major roster reconstruction from a 4 win team. Keep bringing in more competition.
