Baylor's Can of Worms Opened

Wow. Such blind naïveté. It's kind of cute.

I am signing off on this.

You are probably a nice guy in real life.
Too bad you were an ass by coming on our board to defend rapists.
Bye

In case you didn't learn this earlier, the Penn St University buildings, books, parking areas, and green spaces did not rape the children. There is no evidence the actual institution took part in the actual mistreatment of the youths.

Every paragraph you will get madder and more sickened. This is squarely on the shoulders of Art Briles. Though it's not as disgusting as Penn State, this will still make your stomach churn. Absolutely despicable.

My wife's family lives in Waco (Wacko as it's called by Texans), they went to Baylor. They are oblivious and blame everyone but the coaches and players....disgusting. Baylor has this weird vibe, on one hand they are staunch religious (southern Baptist) but on the other it has the ceaspool crazies. What's crazy to me was about 10 years ago they went through that basketball player killing his teammate and the coach trying to cover it up....you would have thought they would have so much policies and athletic vetting before scholarships given....

lol. I like TruHusker. Good poster. But for the life of me I can't figure out why he could not get the point you were making.

Such a pathetic attempt to misrepresent what I said and it does you nor your sports-hate filled narrative any favors.
And you do more to enable nice guy offenders with your ignorance and arrogance than most.
And I'm sure you're a putz in the real world too.

Duke LaCrosse says hi. And for the record the Catholic Church, the buildings, grounds, pews didn't rape any kids either. But I guess anyone that ever was in a church or was a Catholic did. Everyone had to know after all. And these mindless generalizations are very meaningful because God knows pedophiles need enablers. They don't actually try and hide their actions for God's sake. Smh.

I don't think that Penn State is Pedo-Supporting U. The bad guy(s) are gone. With that said, this was a thread/story about Baylor. We could have spent three pages talking about Baylor, its present administration, its coaches and AD who apparently have had (with the exception of Art Briles) little problems finding new jobs in an Athletic Department run amok. Some might have thought the Baylor story would be a good chance to throw two shovefuls of dirt on past transgressions at other universities and to leave them untouched in the past. Others follow the Streisand Effect when it comes to quelling publicity apparently and so want to defend against publicity that they publicize it again and again and again.

"Briles' attorney, Ernest Cannon, told The Associated Press: "Art Briles is trying to go on with his life. I think Baylor regents would be better served if they would, too.''" Poor Art just wants to move on now that he's had to drop his bogus defamation suit.

His career is toast. He won't even be able to get a broadcasting booth job at this point. Hope he invested wisely....

Waco is wacko, that's why the Branch Davidians moved there.

Defending rapists and the people that covered it up at Baylor and Penn State..CLASSIC.

Jeffrey Dahmer was just misunderstood!
But some moron on a message board knows what happened. I know you won't see it on sports center but the conspiracy, and failure to report charges were dropped. The judge dismissed the charges because the case is a joke and there's no evidence. Eventually the last remaining charge will be dropped or the admins will be acquitted.
That's why rushing to judgment as with the Duke lacrosse case is wrong.
The state of pa, cys, and second mile dropped the ball of js.
I know it's more fun to slam a sports team but it doesn't help to keep kids safe which should be the goal.

Truly amazing that nobody in the program knew about all his raping!

True. I heard pedophiles talk about that stuff openly all the time. That's why it happens in every area of this country. Church, youth league sports, etc. There's a lot of enablers I guess.
You probably knew about Lawrence Phillips.

I think you've done a great job here. Everyone at this sight is now convinced everyone at PSU is innocent. Very well done! Now go protest some election results and off to the ignore bin for you!
God your dumb. I never tried to convince anyone. I simply said all the charges have been dropped except one. One has to have an open mind and be willing to learn to be convinced one way or the other. You and the other kid who pretends he's a child experts don't qualify. That's on you. Calling people rapists is a further indicator of your low character. Ignore this.

Of course we know Lawrence Phillips did some really evil things. He paid the price for life in prison. You can defend your university's administrators all you want and blame the media for screwing over your football program for 4 years, but the facts of the matter remain. Though I have been fed up with it lately, the media's job is to inform and protect its citizens from danger. This was as good example as many to protect citizens of our country. Just like a select few knew that 31+ Baylor players raped women 52 times to protect a staff that would bring Baylor booster and the city a national championship, a select few knew about young boys being molested and did nothing simply to protect a good defensive coordinator also in hopes of winning a national championship.

Nope. I'm pretty sure joe could have hired another good defensive coordinator. Smh. The admins reported the allegation to second mile, the charity where the boys came from and those folks are mandated reporters. That's not a cover up. If there was a cover up people like Mike would have been told to shut up. Didn't happen. In fact psu also involved the police and cys in 98. Guess what. No charges but I guess that's Joe's fault.
Mike's father and doc friend also didn't think Mike's story merited a police call. Guess they were afraid of losing js too.
Those that know the facts, like judges, have found the charges baseless and rightfully have thrown them out but you know better.
These guys don't need enablers sir. They hide in open sight. I know the conspiracy theories are sexier but they don't help kids or stop nice guy predators.
Are you a Catholic. Then I guess you're an enabler. You should have known.
And Phillips was beating up women for years. He was always violent. Guess someone should have known bad things were going to happen, at least according to you.

Yep.

All these heroes --Paterno right at the top-- did so much about it for decades that Sandusky continued to the last to use the PSU athletic department and facilities as a vehicle to recruit, select, and rape kids.

Do any of you ever stop to consider WHY so many individuals (a few of whom you listed) involved with your University and athletic department thought that not contacting ACTUAL police to report suspected or witnessed child rape was a good idea? Where else is this considered OK? In the workplace? In public?

Or are you just too busy educating the knuckle-dragging masses (i.e. Virtually all Non - PSU fans) on how this could have gone on for so long --when so many people, a couple of whom you listed -- knew something was wrong -- to consider it?

I did not mean to have the "I'm cracking up" in the post. It was from a different post I was responding to but forgot to delete it. Apologies.

And to your point, Paterno should have went straight to police long before the assistant coach and media found out. Hands down. And dude I'm trying to help you get out of the doghouse on this thread. But seeing as you are going to generalize about me, adios on that. I also don't remember defending Phillips' behavior toward women. For the record, I don't at all. He may have been a hell of a player and football gave him structure in his life but I'm glad he went to jail.

Before you make any more comments or try to defend any more people who didn't go straight to police for child molestation, let's hear your opinion on Baylor.

No. You're wrong on joe. Mike never said he saw a rape. Mike told his father and a doctor, a mandated reporter by the way, what he saw the night it happened. The doc asked him three times if he saw something sexual and Mike said no. So neither Mike's dad, the doc, or Mike thought they should go to the police. After Mike talked to joe, joe contacted the AD and Schultz who was head of the University police. That's not covering up my friend.
And after talking to Mike the AD talked to the executive director of the second mile, another mandated reporter. This guy also did nothing.
I know Joe gets clicks but Mike was a 30 year old man. If he saw something that warranted the police that's where he would have went - not to a football coach.
Those are facts and they are part of the reason the charges are being laughed out of court. That said you at least are a reasonable person that doesn't resort to calling people rapists over a difference of opinion. Typical of the losers in this country anymore. I'm used to it. I came back from Vietnam and was treated like shit by people who were ignorant troll bags and had no clue what they were talking about.
And relative to Baylor I've only followed the story loosely, and so I'm not in an informed position to comment.
That said anymore in this country every allegation is fact and your guilty until proven innocent. We should all sit in judgment on ourselves for a change.

Let me know when one those "serious people" show up.

Speaking of serious -- aren't you late for prayer time on Paterno's front lawn?

You might get thrown off the reservation if you don't get over there quick.
