Bat Lady at it again

Here’s the problem with not getting vaccinated. Vaccines aren’t 100% effective so you need a high percentage of people to get vaccinated to protect everyone. Especially with measles because the average person with measles infects about 18 other people, with flu, it’s something like 2 to 3. So if you’re not getting your kids vaccinated you’re relying on everyone else to get vaccinated to protect your kids. They are taking the low risk of vaccination to protect your kids, but you won’t vaccinate your kids to protect theirs. Think about that.

You're speaking to someone who has two kids who were injured by their vaccinations. Think about that.

I have a kid with mild cerebral palsy. It didn’t really manifest until they were older than a year. Without any obvious cause I could see how it’s easy for a parent to jump to a conclusion that a vaccine caused any injury, especially in this climate of misinformation. But the prudent course is to order studies to determine etiology and not use anonymous google opinions.

An MRI did reveal some unilateral atrophy in the PMC with no obvious infarct. The pediatric neurologist told us this was likely due to a clotting issue in-utero and was able to nail it down to a 2-3 month span during development when it likely occurred. There is no obvious explanation for why.

Why I’m writing this is contrary to your ironic “conspiracy theorists were correct about Covid” rant. Covid ran through our house during that interval for the first and only time. I’m not an uneducated rube and I understand the nuances of health and medicine so I’m not going to directly blame Covid for the issue when the concrete evidence isn't there. However I have read a lot of literature on Covid since the beginning and I have found some literature demonstrating this unfortunate association. A few papers isn’t a strong body of evidence, but science takes time. I guess we will see how evident this is in the coming years.
