Basketball Game

i watched the game and agree UTSA are a "slapping" bunch. i didn't see them complain much about all the fouls. saw a couple guys shake their head a couple times, but, that was about it. while huskers defense lagged a bit in that second half, UTSA shot some three's with defensive player practically right in their face and still sunk'em. not much you can do. just happy huskers pulled away at the end. take it and next up.
The officiating seemed a little bit tilted toward the Huskers, but not extremely lopsided. It certainly didn't explain the huge difference in FT attempts. UTSA seemed to prefer fouling to giving up points on the drive, and it worked for a while as the Huskers missed a lot of early free throws. FT shooting got better as the game progressed though.

RPI is at 55, I'm going to just count the next two games as wins so that will put us at 10-5 with an RPI probably around 70(??) heading into the Big Ten schedule. 10-8 should be the goal and that will get us to 19-12 heading to NYC. Most years a .500 record in the Big 10 would probably get you in but probably not this year.
Yup. Gonna take 20 to feel good about the chances if things stay status quo. I wonder if the committe will seed-punish B1G teams this year with the weak conference showing thus far.

Home game with Michigan is huge as far as high-RPI wins go. The only other opportunity is at Purdue, and that seems like a long shot. No idea how Minnesota's RPI is so high (36) but I guess it's good for the Huskers if it stays there.

We'll have to beat Michigan or Purdue to have any chance at an NCAA bid. The only Top 50 RPI win we have is Minnesota. That's why we really needed to beat either Creighton or KU.

This is something I could of gone the rest of my life and been fine without hearing. Honestly, just pointless. Love that our team lit it up like this this evening.
I love that we lit it up as well. Sorry about the fact. It wasn't meant to annoy you. I get it: there's too much negativity in regards to the basketball program. I certainly didn't mean to add to that. I'm as big a sunshine pumper as you'll want to see. Go Big Red, and let's win one in the Tournament ASAP. See you at the Stetson game!

Apparently that's what Miles has been seeing in practice too I guess. I would have set somebody else up to shoot it but Gill is showing us this year what they saw last year in pre-season practice before the injury.

Not just practice -- 46% from 3 on 4.5 attempts per game is great. Hope he can keep it up through B1G play.
