Pretty much. Pitcher struggling, you don’t help him out. Did that earlier in the game and it resulted in several quick outs. Swanson has been terrible today btw
He DOES suck at this point in his career. He HAS to learn how to motivate his teams to play when they are clearly better than the opponent. It could come with maturity, we'll see.
Is that really a thing at that level?
Baseball just is not a big motivation sport, not like basketball or football.
I used to coach HS ball and I guess sometimes we would be like "Okay, come now, be alive out there" but for the most part there was just not much we could do as coaches.
A lot of fun today with some big hits and fine pitching from Horn and closing from Broderick.

Yes. NCAA Baseball is super hype. High School's heading that direction. The dugouts are super chirpy these days. As well, a coach can motivate and teach at practice how to approach situations.
For example last night NU struck out 14 times out of 27 outs. Several on 3rd strike looking. Unacceptable. Bolt & staff control the hitters' mindsets and actions through the wrist band messenger. Bolt is responsible when NU has that type of performance.
Another example is running yourself out of innings. The number of times Nebraseball gets thrown out stealing or trying to take an extra base is egregious. My philosophy is exactly the opposite: aggressive at the plate & smart/conservative baserunning.

An additional poor coaching example from last night. Oklahoma with the bases loaded, NU down 4-0 less than 2 outs, Husker infield plays back. Ground ball out scores a run and OU is up 5-0, game winning run. Every run is important both defensively and offensively. Sometimes it appears Bolt & staff are careless in that matter.

Swanson is hitting .240. I know he's generally a great post-season hitter, but it's not exactly Aaron Judge up there.
When I coached FB I would be like "Dude, you have to tackle him" and one time by player was like "Yeah, I was trying to do that"
I basically never said it again.
Nothing wrong with throwing lots of strikes, especially against a team coached like Nebraska.

102 strikes out of 154 pitches.
Have you ever watched another game. I didn’t see the game if 1 out.? Bases loaded and 1out 99 percent of teams play for the double play. Sometimes it doesn’t work. If no outs in that situation already down 4 than yes infield must come in .
They’re not going anywhere anyway. Not enough pitching….or hitting.

Oh look, playing like absolute garbage. Almost like they're not that well-coached outside of one week in May.
Boys are missing their girlfriends and their X boxes. Might be time to come home. 3 errors in the first inning. That sounds about right.
