B1G (east) owns 4 of the top 10 recruiting slots for 2016

SEC schools will end up signing 30 kids and push everyone except Ohio State down.

Let's keep this thread fact-based. The NCAA allows an Average of 25 signings per year over multiple years (there are multiple factors that can change the size of a signing class). Rivals only considers the top 20 rated recruits for ranking purposes.

Taking the top 20 players from a class of 22 probably isn't going to be as strong as taking the top 20 players from a class of 30. If we want to keep it fact-based.

I expect that the SEC schools will creep up the rankings, but it is interesting to see the current recruiting successes of the B1G (east). Would be nice to see a B1G west representative.

Very go

Very good points ! I am sure tOSU winning has helped all; SEC got exposed last year in comparison to the fad and their ego last year, imo. If PSU can do it; then N can by winning the division and some bigger upsets. I also feel these coaches are going to build an NFL pipeline.

Congrats too you and your p

Congrats to you and your program, which I admire. They are slowly taming the SEC's influence; sorry to say alleged payments too high school coaches and relatives are still probably pretty active. Successful B1G teams can really reign in fans and loosen SEC clout.

rivals only counts your top 20 recuits. oversigning does not matter on rivals.

rivals only counts each teams top 20 recuits. it does not matter how many you sign on rivals.

Strictly speaking in terms of rival's ranking, signing more than 20 allows the lower/lowest rated players to fall out of the ranking. So, using MSU as an example.

MSU has 20 players. One is rated as a 2*. If MSU signs another player rated higher than 2*, the 2* rating will drop out of the ranking calculation.

Going back to the OP, I'd be surprised if the B1G finishes with 4 in the top 10. There's highly rated players yet remaining to make a decision, so anything can happen.
