RRTHusker or others....what is the deal with B. Brokop? something seems not right here. didn't visit at all this spring and in last communication with rivals, stated that he hadn't heard from NEB coaches in a while.
i know what he brings to the table on the field and its significant. he plays at a position of need. thoughts?

He has not communicated with anyone lately so it is difficult to tell what,if anything, is going on.

When has OL been a historically difficult position to fill???

Interior OL, not often. Tackle, on the other hand, we've had trouble filling well pretty regularly. We rarely get walk-ons who can play at the D1 level at OT, for one thing

This year we look pretty good at tackle, but what do we have for 2016 right now? Knevel who looked good against reserves. Gates who supposedly played well on the scout team. NDSU transfer Sam Hahn, maybe? Hope true freshman Gaylord is ready very soon, or Barnett can play OT at his height? Any Dwayne Johnson sightings at OT?

Looks like Brokop can play tackle. We've had trouble getting tackles fairly often. If Brokop is agile enough to play LT then that's a spot we've historically had a LOT of trouble filling. I've seen our LT get torched by speed rushers way too many times over the years.

And it was reported Brokop had not heard from the new staff in months, that sounds like "we will honor your committment but not necessarily recruit you too hard" but since that was reported I believe Cav has been out to visit him at his school during the eval period.

how does a non-commitable offer work? how is a player offered a scholarship but then told...well...we didn't really mean it?

Getting fairly common, especially with recruiting sliding earlier and earlier.

The process of extending all of these verbal offers has even spawned a new definition of the term "Committable."

adj.: The binary measure of an offer's validity: Randy discovered that his verbal offer to State University was not committable at the time, as the school had other prospects rated higher on its board.

The reality, of course: an offer that is not committable is not an true offer. It's a mere expression of interest by the school in the recruit.

Kids with supposed verbal offers are rejected all the time when they attempt to commit.

The only reason I think we were having difficulties is because of the half assed approach to recruiting by the last staff.
