Called the ticket office to see when we could start requesting away game tickets. They told me I would get an email within a couple weeks. Nothing. I dont see anything within my huskers.com account where I can even request away tickets.

Anybody know anything more?

So how does it work? You can put in a request on the 30th and find out later, based on priority points, or first come first serve?
I thought the request was on your season ticket renewal? I think the June date is confirming your request. If any tickets remain then they will go on sale.

Is it that big of a deal to get them early?

Maybe it is just me but I have never paid full price for a ticket.

Here is my experiences for road games

Northwestern: Grabbed them in the morning, 10 dollars I think. You could sit anywhere.
Minny: Scalper...20 dollars, morning of the game. 40 yard line.
Purdue: Day of the game in the endzone. 10 dollars each
Illinois: 20 minutes before kickoff, 7 dollars I think
Michigan: Free

Have you thought of reaching out to the away teams ticket office or website?

I noticed you didn’t have Colorado in there.

I'm not driving the family out of state looking to buy 4 or possibly 6 scalped tickets. Plus, I'm building priority points through my "donations", so I may as well use them for something.

I really like the red helmet in your monogram. Send that to Dannen to wear with the white and silver we wore at Northwestern several years ago.
I like to see them wear these every once in awhile.

And if Nebraska ever went back to wearing white jerseys and pants ( God for Bid) they should at least wear red helmets.

It’s Go Big Red not go big white.

I use my donation for tax right off every year instead of priority points.

I take the standard deduction so it wouldn't help me.

Damn that is impressive. You are doing it right. The trouble is most people I go to games with don't have the guts to do it that way.

If I was going with kids or family, I would totally buy them ahead of time just to save the hassle or possible hassle.

The examples I gave were me and friends, so we were totally fine with not having them ahead of time. We even broke up into groups one time and made a game of it to see who could get the cheapest tickets before kickoff.

Sidenote: At Northwester, we did the Blue tailgate thing. They gave me the wrong wristband, they gave me the wristband that included all you could eat and drink for free!
